  • Horray!

Great new! Alexa is officially walking! A week ago, the 24th to be exact, she just up and started walking. In some ways I wasn't looking forward to her walking because it just means she's growing up soo fast! She's so cute. She looks like a penguin.

Something else happened today that was soo adorable. I was feeding her some mac and cheese, and in between bites I would take a wipe and wipe off the extra juice around her mouth. Well, one time I sat the wipe down, and she picked it up and cleaned off her mouth too! It was sooo cute!

Oh, and one more thing. We're moving! In the process actually. It's 3 bedrooms, and it has a bathtub! Yay! But anyways, I gotta get back to moving. I hope everyone has a good and safe weekend!

  • My How Time Flies

It has been a long time since I have written here. It's amazing how fast time goes by when you don't want it to, but when you do want it to, it goes soo slowly.

Anyways, not much new here. Alexa is about to start walking. She stands up by herself off the floor, takes a couple of steps, falls down and says "uh-oh." It's adorable. I can't believe that she'll already be a year old in less than a month. Like I said, time flies by soo fast!

Not much new with me. I'm hoping to move within the month or so. This one bedroom apartment is getting more and more cramped every day. I cannot wait for Alexa to have her own room! It's hard to find bigger but cheaper when it comes to apartments. I just trust we will eventually make the right decision that fits within  our budget but also makes us much happier. :)

Here are some more recent pictures of Alexa. Enjoy!

Bathtime! I wish we had a bathtub. She's getting too big for that thing.

  • Grr..

Sometimes I hate Wal-Mart. Today, Hannah and I went there to get the Expedition's tire fixed. Well, we hurried to get there because they said they weren't going to take any more orders after 3 PM. So, we get there at 2:45 and get it in. They then told us it was going to be a 3 1/2 - 4 hour wait. Yay! I live to spend so much time in Wal-Mart!

Anyways, so after being there for over 2 1/2 hours, I decided to go back to see the progress of the vehicle. To my surprise, she said it was already done. Well, the reason that it was already done was because the lugnuts were on to tight and they couldn't fix it because they couldn't get the tire off. I got so irritated! All that waiting just for that! Hannah and I decided that they probably could of gotten it off, but they were so backed up that they didn't want to try very hard.

See if I try and get a tire changed at Wal-Mart again!

  • Today was an interesting day, that's for sure. Peter and I (& Alexa) went to my parents' for the weekend. We were having a great time, and Peter and I decided to go feed the cows some bales..

...well, I was standing on the bales on the back of the truck, and while I was feeding them, they pulled one of the bales out from under me, so I fell back, landed on a salt block and my elbow hit the corner of the toolbox. It swelled up immediately, and I thought I had broken my arm. We headed back and we all went up to Salina to a Minor Emergency place. Found out that I didn't break my arm! Woo hoo!  But, I had bruised my muscles and my bone, and the doctor said it would hurt like it was broken. It's doing much better, but it's still swollen, and hurts when I bump it or touch it. Oh, and after I fell, I still finished feeding the cows!

Lesson Learned: Don't stand on top of hungry cows' food, they'll pull things out from under your feet to get what they want.

  • Alexa seems to be getting better...yay!

So...I'm babysitting for my cousin. I didn't really want to, because her kids always seem to have a cough, runny nose, etc. And I really don't want Alexa around it. But, I have a hard time saying no to anyone when it comes to helping them out with something. She was begging me to watch her, saying how desperate she was and how I would be doing her a tremendous favor...

But...I feel as if I'm not spending the time with Alexa because I am in fear of her catching something! To top it all off, this kid does not listen to anything! It's like she has no discpline whatsoever. She was messing with out cable box, and Peter told her many time to stop, even went up to her and told her no. As soon as he turned away, there she was, doing it again. If I even try to get strict with her, she'll start crying her eyes out like I did something very wrong. Grr!  I surely hope our kids will know when no means no!

I do hate doctors. Since last year, I've been to 4 different doctors about my ears. The first one gave me Nasonex to fix it! The second time it got so bad we went to the ER, and they seemed to know what they were talking about..and it worked for awhile. Then the third doctor gave me some drops and sent me home. But then, the fourth doctor, who is I might add an ear, nose and throat doctor, said I was fine, but yet my ears were hurting while I was there, had what felt like fluid in them, but yet my ears are "perfect." I swear I got the feeling that he thought it was all in my head! And, to top it off, my insurance expired so now I can't even get drops for my ear! So, there's basically nothing I can do about my ears. Yay.

On a lighter note, hope everyone is doing good and having a great week!

  • What a Day

These past few days have been interesting. Alexa has come down with a spell of diarehea. Where she got it from, I have no idea. Poor kid. She's got her first diaper rash, and boy does she scream when we go anywhere near touching it.

Anyways, I hate Cox. Called them today because a few channels haven't been working, and then they procede to tell me if I don't have all the cable lines in our house replaced, that we'll end up losing all of the channels. Good grief. We're thinking about switching, save us time and money.

Well, I guess that's all for now, can't think of anything else to write about.
